Section 01
A good starting schedule
Most daily-driven vehicles benefit from a full professional detail about two to four times per year, with lighter cleaning between appointments. The right interval depends less on the calendar and more on how your vehicle is used and stored.
Section 02
Detail more often when life is harder on the car
Street parking, long commutes, children, pets, frequent passengers, food spills, construction dust, and outdoor work can shorten the time between details. Virginia pollen, summer sun, road film, and winter grime also build up quickly.
- Monthly or biweekly washes for routine exterior contamination
- Interior resets every one to three months for busy family or work vehicles
- Full details every three to six months for most daily drivers
Section 03
Watch the vehicle, not just the date
Book sooner when water no longer beads, the paint feels rough after washing, odors return, carpets look matted, dust collects in vents, or stains begin to set. Removing contamination early is usually easier than correcting months of buildup.
Section 04
Build a schedule around your priorities
A garage-kept weekend car may need fewer appointments than a daily-driven SUV parked outside. ShadowShine can recommend an interior, exterior, or full-detail cadence after seeing the vehicle and learning how you use it.
